Q. When is the next Reinvention Convention?
A. More’s fourth annual NYC Reinvention Convention will be held on Monday, October 18, 2010, from 7:00am – 5:15pm.
Q. Where will the Reinvention Convention be held?
A. In New York City at Pier Sixty, which is part of the Chelsea Piers complex at West 23rd Street and the Hudson River on Manhattan’s West Side.
REGISTRATION
Q. How can I register for the Reinvention Convention?
A. Online: go to www.more.com/reinvention and click the “Register Now!” link. By Phone: call 800-715-7607 starting July 19 and an operator will assist you.
Q. When will online and phone registration be open?
A. Online and phone registration will open on Friday, July 16, 2010. Phone registration will be open starting Monday July 19, 2010. The final time and day for advance registration is 5:00 pm EST on Thursday, October 14, 2010.
Q. How much does it cost to register?
A. The Early Bird registration fee for the Reinvention Convention is $275 effective through August 16; after that the regular fee of $295 will apply.
Q. Are there special discounted Group Rates?
A. Yes! If you register yourself and one or two additional person(s), the registration rate is just $250 per person. And if you register yourself and three additional people, the rate drops to $225 per person.
Q. Will I receive confirmation of my registration?
A. Yes, upon completing your successful registration, you will be sent an automatic email confirmation to the email address you provided. This email confirmation will be required for entry to the event along with a photo ID.
Q. What if I don’t receive my email registration confirmation?
A. Email confirmations are automatically sent out to the email address you provide during the registration process. Please be sure to check your SPAM account if you do not receive your confirmation in your regular in-box.
Q. Can I cancel my registration once I’ve paid?
A. No. All registrations are final.
Q. Will I be able to register on-site on October 18, 2010?
A. Yes! You can register and pay at the event. Just come to the Reinvention Convention registration check-in desk for assistance. The fee will be $295, and we accept cash or checks only. We do encourage you to register early since space is limited.
THE DAY’S EVENTS
Q. What time should I plan to arrive?
A. Registration will begin at 7:00 am (on the early side because we have such a full day). Breakfast will be served beginning at 7:30 am and opening remarks will begin at approximately 8:00 am.
Q. What if I’m late?
A. No problem. We’ll be glad to help you join the program of your choice in progress.
Q. What time will the event end?
A. The day will close about 5:15 pm after a final keynote session and raffle prize presentation.
Q. What is included in the day’s activities?
A. The Reinvention Convention is an all-day event featuring expert speakers and panelists exploring the theme of Reinvention across various topic areas and providing inspiration for you to begin your own Reinvention. We have single Keynote sessions as well as concurrent Master Class sessions throughout the day.
In addition, we will host an all-day Expo where attendees can shop, network and enjoy activities, special promotions and discounts from our sponsors.
Breakfast and lunch are included. Coffee, tea, soft drinks and assorted refreshments will be available throughout the day including during the morning and afternoon breaks.

SESSION INFORMATION
Q. What topics will be covered?
A. Experts will cover key topics of interest to attendees including Money, Career, Sex, Fitness, Health, Style, Beauty and much more.
Q. How long is each session?
A. Most keynote and concurrent sessions will run for 60 minutes including time at the end for Questions and Answers. The time allotted for breakfast and lunch is 90 minutes in order to accommodate food service. There will also be two breaks, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, when you can visit the Reinvention Expo and interact with other guests, More editors and our sponsors.
Q. How many people do you expect at the event and at each session?
A. We plan for full attendance of 600 people at breakfast, lunch and all keynote sessions and approximately 250 attendees per Master Class session.
Q. Are sessions interactive?
A. The format of each session depends on the speaker’s style, however almost all sessions include time for an audience Question and Answer segment.
Q. Do I need to sign up in advance for sessions I wish to attend?
A. No, you can make up your mind on site at the event.
Q. Who are the speakers scheduled to appear?
A. More’s Editor-in-Chief Lesley Jane Seymour and Good Morning America Contributor Lee Woodruff will host the event. The morning keynote session will feature journalist and Anchor of ABC's “This Week...” Christiane Amanpour being interviewed by ABC News correspondent Lynn Sherr. Our luncheon keynote is Pulitzer Prize-winning Author, Anna Quindlen.

GENERAL LOGISTICS
Q. How should I dress?
A. There is no specific dress code. We recommend that you dress comfortably and appropriately for the day’s activities.
Q. What should I bring with me to the event?
A. At check-in, you will receive a program including a session schedule with bios of our speakers, a notebook and a pen. Do be sure to bring your registration email confirmation and a photo ID for attendee check-in.
Q. Are cameras allowed?
A. Yes, BUT photography, audio and video recording will NOT be permitted during the sessions. Attendees will be required to check any video recording equipment upon arrival.
Q. Are cell phones allowed?
A. Yes, but cell phones should be turned off or turned to vibrate during all sessions.
Q. Will there be a coat/bag check?
A. Yes. The coat/bag check is located just inside the entrance to Pier Sixty, adjacent to the registration desk. However, we do recommend that you bring as little as possible with you to the event.
Q. Will the event be handicap accessible?
A. Yes, Pier Sixty is wheelchair accessible. Contact us should you need visual and/or hearing-impaired assistance at MoreReinvention@more.com.
Q. Is there an age restriction on attendees?
A. Yes. You must be 18 years or older to attend the Reinvention Convention.
Q. Can I bring my baby/child or pet with me to the event?
A. Babies and children under 18 are not permitted at the event. Pets are not permitted at Pier Sixty (with the exception of service animals).
Q. Can men attend?
A. Yes.
Q. Will food be served?
A. Yes, breakfast and full-seated lunch will be served, plus coffee, tea, soft drinks and refreshments will be available all day.
Q. Will there be assigned seating at the event?
A. No. All session seating will be first-come, first-served. A few breakfast and lunch tables will be reserved for speakers and sponsors.
Q. Can I meet or get autographs from the speakers?
A. It’s unlikely given the number of attendees we anticipate at the event. We may try to arrange for book signings or meet-and-greets for a few of our speakers.

Q. How do I get to Pier Sixty?

Q. Is there accommodation for parking nearby?

Q. Will there be Reinvention Conventions in other cities?
A. Yes. We are currently planning a Reinvention Convention in Southern California for May 2011. Check back soon for more details.
